This is another plate of my handmade food model in live / real size : Chicken Cutlet Rice
The most difficult part is to make the rice, every single piece of rice is made from my hands and join them together.
I am not a professional food model maker, I do not own a big kitchen for baking /heating so I do not make mould for my food, every piece of food is knead and shape from my hands. So I cannot repeat the same item twice.
My handmade food model: Chicken Cutlet Rice with curry and vegetables
The fake curry is quite difficult too, to get the fake oil floats on top of the curry I have tried so many times .
This piece of art work seem quite simple but take up a lot of time to finish , I really love this fake chicken cutlet rice, hope you like it too!
PS: If you like to see the real things please visit the NEX shopping mall level four food mall.
As a Singaporean, I really like the food here. So I keep on trying to make new local miniature clay dishes . Recently I have made the fried oysters, of curse made of clay. The picture below showed are some of my favourite dishes.
Miniature fried hokkien mee.
Miniature chilli crabs
These are very common local delights you can find in our food court. I made them into miniature size.
She is a very quiet girl with lots of ideas in her mind. As requested , I teach her to make her favorite cartoon character, Cinnamoroll and his friends, ...Capuccino; Mocha; Espresso; Chiffon; Milk;in miniature size and together with the mini cafe house too.
Making her favoutite characters
I am sure beside what I have taught her, she will add in some more her own favourite food/snack/decorations for her miniature Cinnamoroll cafe
Cinnamoroll and his friends, Capuccino; Mocha; Espresso; Chiffon and Milk are having fun at Cafe
I like to make miniature clay food that I like to eat most. I do not like to eat plain bread alone as I like to eat the fillings inside. Thanks to the one that created sandwiches and burgers, so that I can eat them both together.
The burger looks nicer with a bit round "head". I used the real sesame seeds.( you need to do something to the seed first)
There is a hook on top of the mini clay burger, you can use it as a hand-phone strip or key chain.
This mini burger is different from the others. It has a mini tomato and the colour of the meat is
darker. This is a miniature clay beef burger.
To make all these miniature and live size burgers, you really need to have a lot of patience .
"This dish of Beijing origin, Beggar's Chicken also called "jiaohua ji" 叫化鸡 in the Shanghainese dialect, and the chicken is stuffed, wrapped, and roasted in this traditional Eastern Chinese recipe also this dish is very popular with Far Eastern gourmets."
I remember the last time I ate this beggar's chicken was about 30 years ago at a quite famous Chinese restaurant in Japan. I don't really remember what type of ingredients was placed inside the stomach of the chicken, but I still can recall the taste!
I have made this miniature Beggar's Chicken, well, the name doesn't sound nice but the taste is fantastic!
My handmade miniature clay beggar's chicken
I just put the things that I still can remember into the stomach of the chicken.
There are some chinese herbs and some chestnuts.....I have put some red dates too.
The size of this miniature beggar's chicken is shorter than a toothpick.
