Do you known a good Japanese mast melon cost how much? I heard from a friend , it  is very very expensive, but really taste excellent! So I handmade one  for myself.

Miniature Pineapples vs Durains

Miniature pineapple and durian are the  most difficult miniature fruits to make. It consumes more time and work. You cannot hurry and a lot of patience needed during the process of making it.

Chinese New Year Eve

So fast, so fast ,today is already Chinese New Year eve! I still have a lot of things haven't finished yet....washing, cleaning,buying , preparing,,,,,and I am trying to update my miniature blog as fast as I can... so on the last day of the Chinese lunar calender , to thank all of you for so supporting my miniature blog,  I would like to give you my newly handmade miniature oranges....a full basket of abundance in your coming year!

Miniature Fruit Basket

Making miniature fruits is actually very challenging , especially making the miniature durian and grapes.
These two items really take up a lot of time. I used about 2 hrs (that's why I seldom make miniature durian) to finish the durian showed below..

Apples, oranges, banana, kiwi, these are very good miniature fruits that go well with the basket

I made the miniature clay melon so that the mini basket looks more colourful

The mini thorn is so difficult to stick onto the body of the durian, especially it is so small!  I need more practice in order to make those thorns look straight on the body.

As most of the fruits are orange and yellow in colour so adding some other colours like red, green will make the whole basket look nicer.

My daughter likes apples very much but I don't really like it.
 Beside oranges, I think making mini apples are quite simple too. Do you like apples? If you do, make some for yourself. (Green apple is much more easier to make)
