Mdm Lim and her daughter came to me workshop last week to learn how to make miniature nonya kuehs (5 types) . She herself knows how to make real nonya kueh, so when I teach her how to use clay to  make into mini size , she has no problem in doing it. She said to me , this is very interesting and she love it so much.  Never feel too old to learn a new skill. 活到老学到老.

Miniature Pineapples & Oranges

My special promotion lesson  for Chinese New Year was conducted yesterday,  the students were happy with their master pieces.  We did a plate of miniature pineapple with 8 oranges and a pair of chicken for decoration.

This was the first time students learned how to make figurines and food together at my workshop , as they learned 2 types of skill at 1 lesson is not that easy especially for the first time beginners. 

Vara and Yen  were happy with their handmade miniature food and figurines they did yesterday,

Do not feel sorry or sad when you did wrong with your art piece , you can always do it better the next time and you learn from your mistake. Love your art work as they are  handmade by YOU!

Last Friday afternoon, I had a great fun with the staffs of Capital Land . I went to their office and conducted a 2 hours miniature fake food making lesson. As they are all basic students and wish to learn our local food,  so I had chosen  chwee kueh and soon kueh for them.

 Life is a never ending learning process. Learning should not be limited and end, learn what you are interested and love what you have learned.

I self-ed learned this miniature clay art since 2005 and since started I love it so much and never stop .  I self taught myself this miniature art and now I can share my experience with others. There are always new things to learn 活到老学到老。Learn something new everyday.

One must always keep the path open for new experiences. Always be willing to learn new things and discover your hidden gifted talents . Set new goals and be open-minded, gain new experiences and let them lead you to be a better person and joyful life.  Happy Learning!

Look at their happy and satisfactory faces ! Because these beautiful art pieces are  HANDMADE by themselves. ! The one and only one piece in the world!  You never know what's going to look like until you make them.  Maybe for the first time is not so nice but I am sure they enjoyed the process of making them and get better on the next piece. When I see them happy , I am happy! I may not remember all their names but when I see the photos that I had taken I can recall back the happy moment and joy we shared.

This cute little miniature couple figurines was done by Yang and his girl friend.  They spent about 2 hours in making this, step by step you can make it!  Although Yang is not very good at art, but look at the mini girl figurine he did for his girl friend, is amazing!

Children Miniature Class

KY came to my miniature food making workshop last Sat with his mum and sister. This was his first time using clay to make such a tiny mini food on his own.  It was a great fun with this family during the lesson especially KY , he really enjoyed the lesson and the miniature dim sum he made.

KY and his sister, are primary school students but they can really make the miniature dim sum which I designed it for adults.  Well Done!
