Miniature custom made Food

Because of my mistakes, all my photos on my blog have gone (get deleted) so I try my best to fill up the photos one by one. It takes some time to do that so please forgive me if you cannot see the photos that I haven't fill up.

Recently I have custom made some miniature clay food for a friend in Germany . Here are some of them. Although I have made these miniature food before, but this time is in a even smaller version. They look so lovely!

Miniature Hamburger Set Meal

Last week, SW and I have a wonderful time, together we made miniature hamburger set meal. This is one of the basic lesson.

          On the right hand size is done by SW and behind it is my handmade clay hamburger in a larger
          size, in front of the mini trays is also my handmade clay mini burger with  clay fries.

                   This is my miniature filet o fish meal set with miniature clay apple pie and
           miniature clay salad, mini drink and clay fries. Next to it is my miniature burger serve with fries

                      The miniature burger on the right is made of paper clay, color the burger you will
                        get a nice burger. The mini burger on the left is made of Japanese clay.

Miniature Dim Sum & Mini Take Away Food

Do you remember I did this in real/live size?  this time I made it into miniature size as requested.  

 
            These are the mini take away food, or (打包) The plastic box is about 2.5cm in length. I have
            made these before, as requested, I do it again. Let's  make some of your favourite food and put
           it inside. My favourite food is: roasted chicken rice

             The colour of this miniature clay pork is so nice , we rolled it and put them onto the mini plate.

                The colour of the miniature clay beef must be darker.

All my Photos are GONE!!

Dear Friends,

I am so sorry that You are now unable to see all my valued photos of my blog. This is because I have accidently  deleted my photos when I tried out Android on my new Samsung Note yesterday.

I saw all the photos in Gallery and I thought it was just the images from my photos albums, so without a thought I deleted the images from the phone, with no warning on the phone advising that by deleting the images from the hone it would sync back to web albums and delete all imges from Picasa.(my blog)

Many years and time uploading and blogging and organizing  just a second,  GONE!!!

Can anyone HELP??? or how can I replace the photos again??

  I am very very UPSET that lost all these valued photos. My silly sadly deletion!! But I will try my best to replace all the photos back.

PS: I will put back the photos as many as I can, one by one ( I got back up some) . I know it will take quite a long time but what to do......

Miniature Hotpot/ mini steamboat (1)

Last week, my student Connie and I have together made this miniature hot pot/ mini steamboat. She is my advance level student. She suggested to make a table of miniature steamboat during her lesson. As I do not have a sample to show her , so during the lesson while teaching her how to make the food , I have made a table of mini food for my miniature hot pot meal  too.
We used 2 lessons to complete all these miniature steamboat meal.

          This is my handmade miniature hot pot meal and a mini clay pot with pork and abalone tonic soup
         

The mini metal steamboat was bought from Thailand. It is really small and cute, all the food must

 made super mini in order to fill in.  You can make as many clay food as you like.

                  Make a mini table for the hot pot meal too .  The fake egg yolk  looks delicious too!

               The bigger wooden table was done by Connie, she needs to add some more plates of mini  
               food as her mini table is bigger than mine.

                          She did very well all the mini clay food looks real and nice.

            From this view, you can see the miniature table with legs. (I didn't make the legs for my table)
            You can see I didn't fill up my mini plates with food as I do not have much time to do all.

Miniature food stall

I like to make my own miniature stall using wood. This is because I can decide the size i want. Well, this take up a lot of time so if you are not good at cutting wood, just buy the ready made miniature stalls and fixed them together.

                                This is the smallest miniature food stall I ever made. This is the Front.

My Senior Students

 I have teach a group of senior students at CC. This is a special class for age 55 and above. To my surprise, they can really make quite small /mini items step by step. I am proud of them!

These cute little pastries are done by my senior students.

Miniature Bread with Sunny Egg

My family love eggs so much. This is why I always like to make different types of miniature eggs. Here comes the morning breakfast with my favourite sunny egg.

Hand made croissant ring

I did this mini clay croissant bread yesterday. I find the croissant bread very cute so I made it into a ring. Hope you like it. You can replace the bread by any other things you like. Do it yourself or let me help you.

                 Actually there are many fine lines on the surface of the mini clay croissant but from the
                 photo cannot see so clearly.

                       

As this is the only item on the ring, so you need to add more details on the clay food .

         

Clay Food Replicate : Siew Mai 烧卖 vs 小笼包 (Dumplings)

The pictures below showed recently my handmade clay food model/ replicates in real size,  小笼包 (Dumplings) and Siew Mai 烧卖

Instead of making dumpling or siew mai, you can also try to make some simple bun to fill up the steamer.

Clay Food Replicate : Siew Mai 烧卖

This is also a real size clay food model :  Siew Mai 烧卖, It is one of the most popular dim sum item but  I do not really like it as it is too oily and due to allergy  ,I do not eat prawns.

I think I can make the siew mai more lively next time because after making these fake  Siew Mai, all types of 烧卖 keep coming up in  my mind.

Clay Food Replicate : 小笼包 (Dumplings)

I have made these real size clay food models:  dumplings (小笼包 ) last week for a custom order. As the pictures she showed it to me is quite different from the type I used to eat. The finishing part is a bit difficult as I need to fold the the bun carefully and neatly or not I need to redo the bun all over again.

I am very satisfied with these小笼包 . I love it!

        My handmade clay 小笼包 (dumpling) in real/live size.  I do not know how to make a real bun but I
        think I can help them to fold the bun/bao.  :D  Inside the small hole is the fake soup .

The streamer is really big, but I only requested to make 3 fake dumplings models.  It will look very

nice with many baos or dumplings inside of the container.

Fake Drink : Green Tea

Do you like Green Tea? My whole family love green tea so much.  I have made this fake green tea for someone. Hope you like it too!

       My handmade fake drink: Chinese Tea.  These  fake green tea / Chinese tea are not real , they are for                                                              
        display only. These are hardened liquid.

          This chinese style tea cup is suitable for tea house while the bigger one you can find some big
           restaurants using it to serve tea.
          The tea cup on the left hand side is normal tea as the colour is brown, on the right is the green tea.

       Please note: these are not for drink as they are all fake , for display only.

Clay Food Model/ Replicas - Fried Black Pomfret

This is custom made order  : Fried Black Pomfret (Live size).  I have made 2 of them. can you tell the differences?
People always say that the first piece of art work is always the best, but sometime the 2nd or 3rd one can also be as good as the first piece or even better. Can you tell which one  is the first piece of the model?

           My Handmade clay black pom-fret . This is real size and is quite difficult to get the right shape 

of the fish. I used clay to make it.  

                 This is another plate of clay black pomfret I have made.

Miniature Ang Ku Kueh

 I have made a lot of miniature clay Ang Ku Kueh  few days ago.
Do You Like Any Ku Kueh? It is a small round oval shaped with sticky skin and sweet filling inside.
I only eat  peanuts and coconut filling Ang Ku Kueh.

These are my handmade Ang Ku Kueh but cannot be eaten as they are made of Clay.

In the centre of the Ang Ku Kueh I added fake (my handmade peanut) peanut . 

These miniature ang ku kueh is really small.

                          The Last step of making miniature food is ,  apply glossy varnish on top of the food, especially 
          like Ang Ku Kueh.   You can see the different Ang ku kueh  with and without  varnish  on top.
