Do you like this curtain? the size is 7cm x 8cm . I really love it .This is custom-made for a doll house. There are 2 string with a pink pearl attached at both side of the curtain .Once you pull the string the curtain will move to a side, isn"t it look real?

Morning Breakfast

Lillian is waiting for her O level result and she told me she loves miniature very much and wish to become a miniaturist. Tuesday was  her the first time making miniatures, and she did very well. Below is her first master piece "Morning breakfast" .


She said she will come again and I told her for those who come for the next lesson 10% discount will be given and some food miniature courses are taught only at 2nd lessons .

Happy Hours

Last Sat, I have spent a few hours with some kids, the oldest is 13 years old .I have enjoyed myself and I hope they have enjoyed themselve too during the clay lessons especially the water-boy. He love playing with water so I called him water boy .
I have shifted to a new place and can accept more students but I think I still prefer small class so that I can give individual coaching.

They have finished donouts, cakes and a burger during the 4hrs lessons.

Faith

She is quiet and sweet.She said she loves to make cake , I mean real cake,(learn from her grandma) that is why among her handmade miniatures, the cake look so delicious and colourful.She is going to P3 next year and her name is Faith ,and was having her first miniature clay making course on Sat.

Miniatures making make my dream comes true and so can you. Faith will keep on making her cakes till she get sick of it. She can now keep her favourite food forever and ever.... just like me, I can make my  favourite food into miniatures and keep it forever and ever......

Set meals

When I was studying in Japanese 20years ago, I was amazed by the Japanese food especially those come in set. eg afternood tea-time set, lunch set, dinner set, the meal not only look nice but also very expensive. All the time I just looked at the fake food instead of buying. So now I decided to make my own set too.... hope you like it .

Miniature clay food : Noodles

Recently I have created many bowls of miniature clay food:  noodles. I think I may have noodles fever! keep on making noodles ,Large, Medium & Small & extra small size. Would you like to try my handmade noodles? of course not! Miniature clay noodles is for displayed only although it looks delicous!

Actually I made so many miniature clay noodles is because I am going to sell them during chinese new yerar pasar malan! Ha ha!                         

                                       

                            

I like to eat minced pork Mee Pok so much, So I try to make a fake one for myself. At last I made it!

Beside miniature mee pok, I also make other miniature noodles.

                      

New year goodies

 Christmas is coming soon and I haven't have my log cake done yet!! I like to make cake but so far I just did one or two log cake before( last year) this is because a log cake take longer time than other cakes. I have to prepare Santa. deers. christmas tree., gingerbread man, stars ....etc,you see, just a santa, it takes some time, and sometimes I just so lazy to make so many things and use only once a year!( unless custom-made),compare to christman, I prefer making chinese new year goodies and get ready to sell them in chinatown night market! Elaine is only 8 but she did very well in her work. She is patience and also a quick learner. She made 2 donuts, a cake , a plate of rice and a hamburger during her basic minature course yesterday.

Elaine is concentraing in her crafting during the course and her master piece are shown on the right.

Custom made miniature wawa

Recently I have some custom-made miniature wawa. When I finished all of them, you know... I was so impressed by these wawas, they are so cute :) I hope those who have my wawa are happy and look cute too!

                                                                                                              

Birthday Party

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy....." are you singing with me? Today is my wawa's birthday, so I have made a lot of her favourite food (of course all in miniature )for her, can you find your favourite food too? on the wooden  table? ....

The miniature food include a birthday cake, curry puffs, a plate of mee-hoon, donuts and.....etc

Miniature Dim sum

Dim sum is one of my favourite dish, to make a miniature dim sum you need to have the container first , but it is difficult to get a miniature container, so somtimes you have to make it yourself. Here are some of my favourite dim sum.

If you cannot get a mini container than you can make one like the last picture shown. I have simplied the container.                                                                                                                                               

Dinosaur

Last week my nephew showed me a dinosaur, (he is 7yrs old and love dinosaurs so much) he asked me whether I can make a Triceratops (a type of dinosaur) I said, Ok I try ( I don"t like dinosaur). The next day I try to make one for him. I  had made one before using soft clay, this time I used paper clay, here it is... I didn't paint it because I want him to paint it himself.

                                                                    

                                                     The size of this dinosaur is about 3//4 of an index finger.

Making a clay cake

 1. Prepare different sizes of cakes

3. Make a round cake and let it dry in air. When the cake has dried up , colour the cake with poster colour, water colour or acrylic colour.

2. Prepare small items for decoration of the cake. eg, fruits, flowers, etc

 4.Decorate the surface of the cake. I used chocolate line to decorate the surface of the cake. You can design your own cake.

After finishing the surface of the cake , decorate with the prepare fruits, flowers, or others small items.

Clay

For beginners, I usually advice them to use paper clay as it is easier to handle and the price of paper clay is inexpensive compare to others. Paper clay is made from recycled paper pulp, binders and water. These clay dries hard when exposed to air.

There are many fun ideas for paper clay. Some ideas include making animals, dolls, magnets and miniature food. Here are some of my handcrafted items,using paper clay!
